Hey there everyone! It’s been almost half a year since I began my blog, showcasing the biggest releases i’ve seen, and providing a unique perspective on the newest films. I just wanted to start this post by saying thank you for your constant support, sharing my reviews with people and sending me plenty of feedback. While I had intended to only use this as a creative outlet, it’s reassuring that so many of my friends, family and readers are more then happy to join in on each review process!
The main reason I wanted to write this particular article is to update you all on what i’ll be doing the rest of this summer, and how this will affect the next couple of months for Reel Thoughts. Starting today, I am traveling to Thompson, PA, and will spend my summer doing videography work for Camp Chen-A-Wanda. The experience I am able to get there cannot be overstated, and it means a lot that I will be able to connect families together through the videos I’ll shoot and edit together!
The only downside to this, however, is that I will be FAR away from any movie theater, so the possibility of me reviewing any of the big summer movies left to come are less then promising. With this in mind, i’m planning on spending this summer reviewing a number of Indie films from earlier in the year that very few people were able to see, but have made a big splash with critics in their limited releases. This way, I will still be able to update you all on what you should be watching, while still staying within releases from this current year. So far, the film’s I am planning on reviewing will be:
Eye in the Sky
All of these are films that I had already been curious to see, but was unable to due in part to their severely limited releases. Thankfully, all of them will be made available on iTunes throughout the next couple of months. This is only a list, and I will most likely be avoiding watching these films in any particular order, so I don’t have a current schedule that I can share with you right now. But do know that I will not abandon this blog for 2 months straight, and will try and release as much new content as I can!
Lastly, before I left for Thompson, PA, I managed to go see Warcraft and Central Intelligence. And while I will not be writing a review for Central Intelligence (I’d give it a 6.5/10 if you were curious, fun but nothing you need to rush out and see), I will be writing a lengthy review on Warcraft during my ride up to Thompson. Look out for that sometime later today, as there is a ton to say about the newest video game film, and not in the way you might expect.
Thank you all for your support once again, and I promise to keep writing where I can! Continue to have a fantastic summer!
